PGAX Donnafugata Parkland 2011
The 18-hole Gary Player Signature Design winds through olive groves and carob trees typical of Ragusa countryside that can be seen all around the plateau up to the slopes of Ragusa.
The holes are very dilute in the field and this characterizes the path giving the player the feeling of being completely dip into the nature.
The stone walls typical of the area can be glimpsed at the side of many holes, which complements the view of the course.
Few barriers of sand exist along the fairways bordered by trees, tricky greens and well defended by deep bunkers.
The holes follow different presentations, with a variety of solutions and strategy games each one new and different from each other.
All 18 holes are situated in an archaeological site just a hundred yards from the tee of hole 6, where it is possible to visit a Greek necropolis of the sixth century b.C.
