Just like the Donnafugata Links course, this well-designed par 71 is fun to play, with plenty of doglegs with slight elevations and a few carob trees and stone walls along some holes, not to mention the lake already seen on the Links course. On the front 9, I like the par-4 opening hole, with a nice stone wall all along the fairway on the left and slightly-uphill all the way to the green, and the straight par-4 4th hole, with a slightly-downhill tee shot landing onto a narrow fairway, and a slightly-elevated green, with a big puzzle-shaped bunker in front, on the right. Then, after a few dogleg holes, the par-5 7th, slightly-uphill all the way, is nice too with a tee shot over some rough (with a lake on the right) and a blind and long approach to the green (with another smaller lake halfway around it), just like the right dogleg par-4 8th hole, with an uphill tee shot, an undulating fairway (with a lake on the far right), and an approach over a narrow winding path filled with deep rough, across, in front (with a few nice houses behind it). The first few holes on the back 9 are noteworthy too, starting with the par-4 10th, with a slightly-uphill tee shot landing downward onto a very undulating fairway, and with a slightly-elevated green (with a nice small stone wall nearby), and the right dogleg par-4 11th hole, uphill all the way, with a tee shot over two small stone walls on both sides of the fairway (near the tee box), and a nice panoramic view as you reach the green. On the left dogleg par-5 12th hole, uphill all the way, with a slanted and undulating fairway, you should be able to putt for an eagle if you can get close to the flag with your blind second shot over trees in the corner, before moving on the par-3 13th, with an uphill tee shot over a small stream across the fairway, midway. I also like the par-3 15th hole, with its uphill tee shot over plenty of deep rough and bushes and with three small bunkers, real close to the flag in front (and another one behind), and the left dogleg par-5 16th, with a tee shot landing between a wide lake on the left and bunkers on the right, and a long second shot toward the green. You will finish with two water holes, the par-4 17th, with a tough second shot along an elongated lake on the left, ending past the green, and the left dogleg par-4 18th, with a tee shot along trees on the left (with a wide lake behind) and an approach to the green over part of it, on the left. With this Donnafugata Parkland course, the PGAX design team came up with another nice rendition offering you another viewpoint of the Ragusa region. Up to you then to decide if you prefer this course or the Links version...
