Course Architect Comments

Situated in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage site, Windermere golf course is awe inspiring, with panaromic views of the Lake District National Park mountain range.
The course was designed by George Lowe, the professional at Lytham St Annes Golf Club and inaugurated in 1891.
George took full advantage of the hilly terrain to make this short 18 hole course very demanding where ball placement was paramount in order to score well.
In 2005 work on development of all 18 greens and surrounding areas was was completed in order to meet with current USGA standards.
The course measures 5142 yards from the professional tees with a par of 66.
