Course Architect Comments

Hallamshire is home to one of the best and most challenging golf courses in the North of England.
Nestled between the city of Sheffield and the Peak District National Park, Hallamshire was designed by the famous Harry Colt, inaugurated in 1897 and is a classic heathland course enjoying spectacular views.

Those who have played here will know they need to hang on to what may appear to be a wrecked card on the outward nine before attacking the return where scoring opportunities are usually easier to come by.

Matt Fitzpatrick, a member of the PGA Tour, honed his skills whilst a youngster here at Hallamshire.
The course measures 6573 yards with a par of 71.
