Many courses are known for greens that are difficult to hold. At Olympic, the fairways are known for repelling shots.
Olympic does not have a single water hazard, no out of bounds, only one fairway bunker, and most of the greens are not terribly severe.
Yet in four Opens, only four players have finished under par.-David Barrett, from "Golf Courses of the US Open"
Note: Red-Black tees are set up for a four round tournament, similar to the US Open
Notes for 2011 update- Updated green on hole 7 and created the new 8th hole. Also, used the pano from Harding Park by PGAX.
Notes for 2012 update- Added new tee boxes and changed pars on holes 1 and 17 to match with 2012 US Open.
Notes for 2020 update:
Completely renovated hole 2 for accuracy
Changed pars on holes 1 and 17 back to how they were for the 1998 US Open, which I feel makes more sense
Adjusted elevations to match the real course based on better elevation models
Removed more trees to better represent the real course renovations
Changed textures
Moved some tee positions around
