Formed in 1892 and is located in the leafy Edwardian spa town of Woodhall Spa, 20 miles from historic Lincoln.
The Hotchkin course is rated by Golf World magazine 25th in the world. It was also placed 4th in the Top 100 Golf Courses in England.

The Hotchkin Course is unsuitable for inexperienced golfers and has in place maximum handicaps of 24 for men and 36 for ladies. Some bunkers are cavernous, the deepest being 12feet on the 12th hole.
If you are unfortunate enough to find these, you will probably only get out by playing sideways. So shot placement is key to a good round.
