Course Architect Comments

As it says on the course website:
Named one of the top two golf courses in Hawaii by Golf Digest in 1997, and considered the toughest course in the nation, the course is carved out of a magnificent tropical rain forest on the windward side of the 2,000-foot Koolau Ridge mountain range. Koolau encompasses three distinct climate zones and features breathtaking views of cascading waterfalls, extreme elevation changes and winding ravines.

Anything in the jungle here is a sure train-wreck, and all the cross-fairway ravines are considered water hazards and are unplayable lies. I have tried it under most reasonable conditions and it seems playable - have fun!
