Rated the #1 course outside the U.S. by Golf Digest, Royal County Down has earned the reputation as a stern but fair test of golf played in the most idyllic of settings. The course is draped over undulating linksland in the Northern Ireland seaside town of Newcastle, where "the Mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea." Exposed to the elements on the coastline of Dundrum Bay, the ideal conditions for the most challenging test of golf are gusty/very dry. Enjoy -- the gorse is in full bloom!
