Stunning design of a classic. The realism is excellent and it's visually sweet. First look at the course (albeit in cyberville) and it's a great layout - not quite my favourite of the 'big' English tracks (prefer Royal St. George's and Royal Birkdale) but plenty of character and challenge throughout - and definitely stay clear of those bunkers! Plays beautifully and, from a layman's view, Larry nailed this design. Brilliant stuff, cheers!

Unusual links course not set next to the sea but to the... road with black houses along the way. At first glance, the fairways look narrow but then, in fact, it is the two-color textures that make it look that way.
The course has lots of bunkers but those on the faiways are on the sides, making it relatively "easy" to avoid them... unlike those near the greens.
There are 3 par-5 holes on this course reachable in two shots for eagles. The greens on the back 9 are trickier than on the front 9.
This course runs very smoothly and is nice to look at without being overly difficult. This 2008 version has been updated (now a par-71 instead of 70) and the graphics are nicer... but you will have to reach the final hole to see red colors on the roof of the clubhouse !

I live in Oz now, but was born & raised not far from here (Scouse git!), so the course has a "home town" feel for me. Thanks for giving me a little sense of pride, Larry & for a cracker job of putting this course together...

Finally got round to playing this! Absolutely brilliant work Larry. The textures are blended superbly and I agree with the others about the bunker work. The greens have a very realistic feel to them as well - challenging without feeling as though they've been made overly tricky.

Brilliant course with great attention to detail. The undulations on the course gives a great links feel. You have captured perfectly the need to give this links course the respect it deserves in order to score well. Well done and thanks for the time devoted to creating another masterpiece for this community.

I played this one last night against the computer and it wasn't a runaway win. Very nicely put together and very playable

Wow, those bunkers are without mercy! I really got a British Open feel playing this course. Looking forward to the 2012 Open.

Congratulations on another fine course, Larry. Great job with those deadly bunkers and the overall terrain work -- there is a true links feel to the course. I appreciate your perseverance working through several beta versions to make sure the course could be as good as it is. Thanks for letting me be involved in the testing.

Hi Larry don't know if you used it or not but there is a hole by hole fly by..http://www.royallytham.org/2006/holebyhole.htm#...otherwise very very nice course and plaay's very well.I live about 45 mile's from the course,and is as near as you could have got.Well done again and thank's for a British Course
