Enjoyed the course, elevation, fair bounces and tough greens. As others have said, the short yardage doesn't mean you can just bomb the course and score well. Lots of places you don't want to be! Thanks, TeeOff, great work.

Whether you play the Nicklaus course or this one first, you will enjoy England's beautiful hilly and green countryside, thanks to TeeOffTowersey's great designing talent. Unlike its more prestigious counterpart, The Old Course has an unusual par 68 but that does not mean that it is an easy course ! In fact, it has the same ingredients : some elevated terrain, quite a few downhill holes, doglegs, some water hazards, undulated and/or slanted fairways, well-placed bunkers and a few tricky greens. After a nice downhill left dogleg par-4 opening hole, with a slanted fairway, I like the par-4 3rd, with an uphill blind tee shot... down toward an undulated and slanted fairway and the green, slightly to the left, the par-4 5th hole, slightly to the right, with a tee shot over a small path, and the straight par-3 6th, with a gorgeous panoramic view of the countryside as you reach the green. But my favorites holes on the front 9 are the short (less than 350 yards) left dogleg par-4 7th, with a blind tee shot landing on a downhill and heavily-slanted fairway (with a few mounds on the right), and an approach shot over a small path to reach the green, and the gorgeous downhill right dogleg par-5 9th hole, with a nice road on the right (with tall trees and nice fences all along) leading to the slightly-elevated green, with the clubhouse on the right. On the back 9, I also like the downhill short par-4 10th hole (about 270 yards) with a little creek to the left and across in front of the green, the par-4 11th, with a beautiful and steep downhill panoramic view from the tee, and an elevated green, slightly to the left, and the steep downhill par-3 12th hole, not overly difficult, but with a small pond in front of the green. The par-4 13th hole is quite short (about 250 yards) but it has a very steep uphill green, making it quite tough to choose the right club to tee off, especially when you have plenty of deep rough in front, and is followed by the short downhill par-3 (125 yards) 14th, with nice houses on the left, a small lake behind the green and a panoramic view of the valley. Another pretty hole is the left dogleg par-5 15th, with a downhill tee shot over a small pond, an undulated fairway and an approach shot quite tough with another pond near the green (on the left) and a few trees, partially hiding it. Finally, the left dogleg par-4 18th hole is another one of my favorite holes, with its steep downhill tee shot and... steep uphill (and blind) approach shot over nice fences and tall trees to reach the green ! With a beautiful landscape and a variety of challenging holes, the Old Course, just like the Nicklaus course, is another good reason to keep both of them !

Another Towersey gem from the English country. A tasty and zesty side-dish to the Nicklaus track - totally different as you'd expect. It's a tricky little beast, don't be sucked in by the low par or short yardage - though anyone who has played an English course, let alone a Towersey design, won't be. Potential birdies need to be crafted here. As with all this designer's builds, it looks stunning, sounds sweet, plays smoothly, and is a complete pleasure to play - pure brilliance. Cheers!

Very nice complimentary course to the Nicklaus course. Plenty of risk/reward on this one. Splendid job TOT!

Don't let the yardage on this course fool you into thinking that you are going to bring this course to its knees. Like the Nicklaus course, this one also sports narrow sloping fairways accompanied by small undulating tricky greens. If you want to score well on this little gem, than shot accuracy is a must. Another great rendition Mr. Towersey in typical UK fashion. Very nice work.

Hey Teeoff
Just wondering if you included the changes that this course went through during earlier part of this year?
