This replaces a previous upload called "The Old Course at Knob Hill". We have reduced the number of libraries and made some other subtle changes to the course. Here is the info:
In 2001, I published my second course, Knob Hill Shores Golf Club, to a PGA Championship Golf site.
This is the EXACT course which has been converted to Tiger Woods 2008.
Ratings are off because this is meant to be a fun and not so serious course. My best score for this course is -17.
I am sure there are those that can beat that score...leave a comment if you do.
Following are the original notes on the course:
''Knob Hill Shores'' is a small cranberry growing development situated between two brackish ponds (Follin''s and Dinah''s) in the picturesque setting of Cape Cod, MA.
I should know, I grew up there. This course is based upon my memories of that area where I used to romp and get into all sorts of mischief as a child.
The recommended conditions for this course, to make it as accurate to the climate as possible, are: Rough (whatever), Greens (moist or normal) and Wind (breezy).
Here are some of the hole highlights based on actual places in ''Knob Hill Shores''.
Hole Three- The Bog. You tee off to the right of one of two large bogs that are at the entrance of the community. Your second shot goes over the second bog to the green.
Hole Five- Indian Trail. One interesting aspect of Cape Cod is the growth of cedar forests next to the water.
This hole is based upon an area we called ''Indian Trail''. Just on the edge of the green is a large rock we used to climb on called ''Indian Rock''.
Hole Fourteen- Kelley''s Bog. You tee off on the pitcher''s mound across the street from my house.
Your approach shot will travel over Kelley''s Bog to the green that is on the edge of Follin''s Pond.
Hole Fifteen- Viking''s Rock. Legend has it that the Vikings landed on Cape Cod and moored their boat on this rock.
