TPC River Highlands is located in Cromwell, Conn., just outside of Hartford, and is situated on a bluff overlooking the Connecticut River.
In 2012, TPC River Highlands was ranked No. 25 by PGA TOUR pros in Golf Worlds PGA TOUR Course Rankings.
TPC River Highlands championship golf course hosts the PGA TOURs Travelers Championship, the largest professional sports event in Connecticut.
The tournament was founded 64 years ago in 1952 as the Insurance City Open. It was renamed the Greater Hartford Open in 1967, a title that was retained through 2003. The Travelers Companies took over sponsorship in 2007. |
