Course Architect Comments

The first designed golf course on Casa de Campo was completed in 1971 by Pete Dye and 300 local laborers. It is titled Teeth of the Dog because of the sharp points of coral formations that are seen along the shoreline. It is ranked 29th in the world and more importantly #1 in the Caribbean. The course has quite an exciting experience offering holes 1-4 on the lush green, followed by the next set of holes 5-8 very close to the ocean. Holes 9-14 take you back inland. The breath taking site of the ocean occurs once again for holes 15-17, with the 18th hole placed on an uphill slope.
