The Newland Country Club is the first cyber golf course to proudly bear the CTPC logo, which stands for Cyber Tournament Players Club. CTPC demands are rather strict. Courses must not only be playable under all circumstances, but the general terrain work has to be realistic and expertly executed also. CTPC courses are fictional, rather than fantasy courses, although fictional elements are not disallowed. They are in fact very much encouraged, as long as they don?t interfere with the general sense of realism that a CTPC course should provide.
The Newland Country Club is located in a wide valley, surrounded by mountains and with the rather spectacular Perditia Falls, a couple of miles North of the course, but still visible from the front nine. Consequentially the course has a lot of water on it, in the shape of lakes, ponds and streams that interfere with just about every hole. |
