TPC Joshua Lakes II is the last of my four fictional courses honoring my father Joshua. He spent the latter days of his 94 years living in the mountainous area of Western North Carolina. These courses (though they may state otherwise) are based on my memories of that area when I lived there as a teenager and from sightseeing when I visited him. He is missed, but has gone on to a better place where he no longer suffers any pain or sorrow.
In my latest fictional courses, I have determined to make them as realistic as possible. Therefore, there shouldn't be any trees blocking the golfer's view from the tees or from most approach shots. I thank Daniel Campeau for his patience and golf knowledge for helping me see how a real golfer would view my courses. This course and Joshua Lakes Golf Club II are excellent examples of my new golf course designing philosophy.
This course has been tested on Very Dry greens and Breezy winds by Ray Lloyd and I am happy to report it passed the test! The Back Nine plays a lot easier then the Front Nine. Thanks again for all your support. Enjoy your round and don't forget to tip your caddy!
