In 2000, I fell in love. Though my real golfing experience only consisted of miniature golf and a failed attempt at the real thing (major back issues). I fell in love with the game of golf after purchasing PGA Championship Golf by Sierra sports.
Soon, I became interested in designing my own courses and started learning how to use the course architect. My first attempt at a course was laughable! I had fairways as wide as the length of a football field and holes that were routed all over and did not make sense. I think I used EVERY 3d and 2d object available! Undaunted, I proceeded to make my second course. This is the result.
As a child, I lived in a community on Cape Cod called, Knob Hill Shores. It was the perfect place for a young boy to live. The community is situated between two brackish ponds so there was lots of swimming, boating and water skiing available. Also, the community had several workable cranberry bogs along with ones that were no longer worked. So, for my second course, I used my childhood as a basis for the design. On the course there are cranberry bogs, a cedar forest and bird sounds that bring back fond memories.
This KHS 08 2020 version celebrates the 20th anniversary of the original course''s release for PGA Championship Golf and there are versions of this course released for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 and 07. I have made some subtle changes from my original TW 08 course, Knob Hill Shores Golf Club, but nothing dramatic.
The biggest difference is the new Course Life System (CLS) objects. I have added golf bags and bunker rakes to the course to add realism. In order to see all the CLS objects on this course, you will need to download an extra file. That file can be found here, click on this link Extra files download. Detailed instructions are included with it.
This is a revised version of the old course. If you have that one installed you will need to uninstall it. I made a few changes to some textures and moved a few things around to make the course more playable. This course has been tested on Very Dry greens with Breezy winds and plays good.
