This 2014 CGX Riviera Country Club course is the third version released after EA’s (in 2007), and Neil Munro’s (in 2012) and is nicely designed as usual. On the front 9, I like the scenic par-5 1st hole, with its downhill tee shot landing near some tennis courts on the left side (with villas a little bit further, also on the left, not far from the green), the uphill approach to the green on the 2nd, with nice flowers, bushes on the right (and villas on the hilltop), and the par-3 6th hole, with a tiny bunker... in the middle of the green. I also like the par-4 8th hole, with its... two fairways, split in between by sand and deep rough, all the way past the green (on the right), and the par-4 9th, with its beautiful clubhouse on top of the hill behind the green. The back 9 starts with the risk/reward par-4 10th hole, back the other way, where you will have to decide if you want to reach its tiny undulating green (less than 320 yards away) with your driver, surrounded by three elongated bunkers, on the right and behind. Then, after the straight par-5 11th hole, whose fairway is divided across by deep rough, midway, and where you should be able to putt for another eagle, most of the following holes have wide fairways and are not too difficult. You will get another eagle opportunity on the par-5 17th hole, if you can manage to get close to its slightly-elevated green, before moving on to the pretty right dogleg par-4 18th, with its uphill tee shot and its beautiful approach to the green, with that nice clubhouse above. Since 2007, the design has changed a little bit (with trees gone in the middle of the 8th hole), and those modifications were taken into account by Neil Munro and the CGX team. Up to you then to decide which version you prefer but, either way, you will enjoy a nice and stress-free round on golf on this par 71, not too difficult but fun to play.

As you can see there is a A and B version of this course, both versions are the same, only the flag position on the green is different. Important note: a lot of CGX courses are only playable from the: PRO tees The cgx designers created courses in high tempo, so they only made the pro tees playable. So in TW08 you have to select the PRO tees.
