Beautifully-designed, with plenty of nice trees and vegetation around the water, this par 71 is delightful to watch and play, especially on the more scenic and challenging back 9 with plenty of water hazards and a nice four-hole finishing stretch. After the opening par-4 hole, with a tee shot over a serpentine creek (in front of the tee box), landing onto a nice tree-lined fairway (with tennis courts, midway on the far right), and a straight par-4 2nd hole, with a winding creek along on the left, then turning to the left two-thirds of the way, you will face later on the par-4 5th hole, where you will need to hit a blind and uphill tee shot and a challenging approach over a big pond (with reeds and a fountain in it) on the left, near the green, to reach the flag. But my favorite hole on the front 9 is the very scenic and wide open par-3 9th, with a tee shot over a small lake, and a big pond (hidden behind trees) on the left of the green (with a smaller one further behind). The back 9 starts with three holes with narrow fairways, with my favorite one being the pretty right dogleg par-5 12th, with a big pond, midway on the right, tall trees all along on the left of the fairway, and a long shot toward the slightly-elevated green. Then, after the left dogleg par-4 13th hole, with a tee shot over some trees around the corner landing onto a wide fairway and a flag, hidden by trees on the left, and the par-5 14th, with a tough approach toward the green (with a big pond in front on the left), the last four holes are quite pretty. The par-3 15th is simply gorgeous, with a small green in between two wide lakes, and is followed by the beautiful right dogleg par-4 16th hole, with a tee shot over a wide lake and a slightly-uphill approach over the stream from the lake crossing the fairway. You will complete your round with the right dogleg par-4 17th hole, with a tee shot over a stream crossing the fairway, not far from the tee box (with a small elongated pond on the left, midway), and a slightly-elevated green, before heading for the left dogleg par-4 18th, with a big pond on the left of the green, and the clubhouse and the tennis courts behind. Overall, with its pretty and green hilly countryside, this CGX Mt Edgecombe course is very enjoyable with its wide or narrow fairways, slight elevation changes and its well-placed water hazards, and is another keeper in my book !

As you can see there is a A and B version of this course, both versions are the same, only the flag position on the green is different. Important note: a lot of CGX courses are only playable from the: PRO tees The cgx designers created courses in high tempo, so they only made the pro tees playable. So in TW08 you have to select the PRO tees.
