Another course where I finish with the same very low score, which might lead me to keep only one, despite its beautiful mountains as a backdrop (since I have so many courses already, ha, ha !). If this par 72 looks very pretty with its plantings and vegetation, the first 9 holes, with their wide fairways, are much easier than the tougher and prettier back 9. On the front 9, I like the nice opening par-4 hole, downhill all the way with a blind... uphill tee shot landing down next to an elongated waste area on the right, and a green, slightly to the right, and the dogleg par-5 2nd, with a blind and slightly-uphill tee shot, with another elongated waste area (filled with dirt and some grass) on the right, midway, and a long approach to the slightly-elevated green, slightly to the right. As for the three consecutive left doglegs (the par-4 5th, slightly downhill all the way, with a wide fairway hugging a beautiful road on the right, the par-4 6th, similar but not as sharply to the left, and the par-5 7th hole, away from the road, with a slightly-elevated green, I like the prettier 5th hole. The par-3 8th hole is also nice with its panoramic view as you reach the green, with the mountains behind and the road, on the right. But my favorite holes are on the back 9, starting with the right dogleg par-5 10th, where you will need to hit a blind shot downhill above some bushes and through a narrow gap between thick trees, and an uphill approach over some bushes to reach the green, with four bunkers in front. The par-3 11th hole is very pretty too, with a blind and uphill tee shot over plenty of bushes and small trees, and is followed by the picturesque left dogleg par-4 12th, uphill all the way, with another blind tee shot, landing onto a slanted fairway (hugging the road on the right), and plenty of bunkers on the left, not far from the green in front. Then, after the pretty par-3 13th hole, with an uphill and blind tee shot over some dirt and bushes (and the road again on the right), I like the par-4 15th, quite tricky, as it is very short and has a slightly-to-the-right uphill green (with the road all along on the left), and the right dogleg par-4 16th hole, downhill all the way, with a tee shot above some trees, midway on the right, and with a big pond to watch for on the right of the green. Overall, if this well-designed CGX Open de Espana course looks nice and... real (with a beautiful road and some... not-so-pretty power lines !), you should score well, as it is relatively easy, no matter which version(s) you will end up playing...
