This par 72 course has plenty of tree-lined fairways and quite a few doglegs and is tougher on the back 9, especially starting from the 14th hole until the 18th green (with a few water hazards to deal with), but it plays very smoothly, even if a few... fans stand in the way as you tee off on a few holes !
On the front 9, my favorite holes are the left dogleg par-5 5th, with a slightly-uphill tee shot, landing in the corner of the tree-lined fairway, and a long and slightly-downhill approach to the green (with two bunkers in front), the beautiful par-5 7th hole, slightly downhill with a big creek running all along the fairway on the right side, and the short (around 315 yards) right dogleg par-4 8th, whose elevated green is impossible to reach from the tee, with plenty of trees in the corner of the fairway, hiding its view.
But I prefer the back 9, more challenging, starting with the long S-shaped par-5 10th hole, and then the downhill right dogleg par-4 12th and its narrow fairway.
I also like the left dogleg par-4 14th hole, quite pretty with its downhill slope and a big lake on the left side of the green, partially hidden halfway by trees, just like the left dogleg par-5 15th with, again, a big lake on the left side, ending midway in the corner (and a smaller one on the other side), and its slightly elevated green, with a bunker right in front.
The last two holes are quite scenic in different ways : on the par-3 17th, you will need to hit your tee shot over a wide lake to reach the green, whereas, on the left dogleg par-4 18th hole, you will have to make sure to avoid a little creek hugging the fairway all along on the left, all the way to the green.
With these CGX A & B versions, you now can play Quail Hollow Country Club in four different years (2008, 2012, and the latest two in 2015) ! Up to you, then, to decide which one you prefer but I think both the CGX versions and BullPupp2’s design rate about the same, with less fans “bothering” you on the latter, but a few grainy patches beyond some holes on both versions...

As you can see there is a A and B version of this course, both versions are the same, only the flag position on the green is different.
Important note: a lot of CGX courses are only playable from the: PRO tees
The cgx designers created courses in high tempo, so they only made the pro tees playable.
So in TW08 you have to select the PRO tees.
