A very nice challenging course, with plenty of wide areas filled with deep rough and sand, some elevation changes, a few water hazards and a couple of very long par-5 holes where, barring miracle shots, you can forget about scoring eagles.
Right off the bat, you will see what is in store for you with the long par-5 1st hole (more than 620 yards) with deep rough and sand, halfway on the right, and a small lake in front of the green, slightly to the right.
The next three holes are quite nice : the par-4 2nd is a right dogleg, uphill all the way, with plenty of deep rough and more sand scattered on both sides of the fairway and a blind approach to the slanted green (guarded by three bunkers around), the par-3 3rd is downhill, with trees hiding a small elongated lake behind, in front of the green, and the par-4 4th hole is a left dogleg, with a tee shot over a big creek splitting the fairway diagonally all along and ending to the left of the green, with a few bunkers along.
The right dogleg par-5 5th is another long hole, with a blind and downhill tee shot landing onto a narrow fairway, halfway, with more deep rough and sand around on both sides, and a second shot over more deep rough below to get close to the green.
Then, after the short (around 330 yards) and straight par-4 6th hole, with plenty of deep rough in front of the green, and the par-4 7th, with a blind tee shot over lots of trees landing behind near a bunker in the middle of the fairway (and with an uphill approach to the green, hidden by a few more trees), you will face the pretty par-3 8th hole, with a downhill slope and a small elongated pond in front of the small green, before finishing the front 9 with a right dogleg par-4, slightly-uphill all the way and with some deep rough and sand, halfway on the right, and a big bunker below the green (on the left), with a nice clubhouse behind.
The back 9 starts with the long left dogleg par-5 10th hole, with plenty of deep rough and sand on both sides of the winding fairway, midway all along, and with a blind and downhill approach to the sloped green (with more sand, deep rough and a couple of bunkers to worry about), and is followed by the par-3 11th, with an elevated and undulating green, hidden by trees, halfway, and two elongated bunkers on the sides.
After the left dogleg par-4 12th hole, with plenty of deep rough and sand on both sides of the fairway, midway, and an uphill approach to the green, you will move on to the very long left dogleg par-5 13th, slightly-uphill all the way, with wide areas of deep rough and sand, halfway on both sides of the winding fairway, and a half moon-shaped bunker in front (and to the left) of the green.
On the left dogleg par-4 14th hole, you will need to hit a blind tee shot over trees in the corner with deep rough and sand behind midway (and all along on the right side) and ending next to the elevated green (with three long bunkers around), before heading for the downhill par-4 15th with an undulating fairway and a small elongated lake on the right side of the green.
Then, after the right dogleg par-4 16th hole, you will face the scenic par-3 17th, with a tee shot over two elongated lakes, split in the middle by a tiny patch of grass (with the smaller one "turning" into a small stream behind the slanted green), before finishing with the par-4 18th, with a blind tee shot over trees and a stream splitting the fairway diagonally, landing near some deep rough and sand all along on the right, and with an uphill approach to the green over that meandering creek again in front of it.
With nice plantings, this par 72 Blair Angus course is well designed by Micko and you should enjoy it... if you can manage to avoid all the hazards along the way until the 18th green !

A real pleasure to test this one for a really good designer, he knows how much I like his courses, and this one is no different, runs silky smooth online, and looks terrific all the way round, I would try advanced or expert if possible, pro tees, dry , breezy with difficult pins etc for a really great challenge of virtual golf. my compliments to Mick not only for this stunner but all his other great work .
