Played the A Course - par 71 6692 yds. Good size fairways - need to watch tee position off tees at times. Set up for tour play. Clean course - looks good - plays easy due to it`s shorter length than most courses. Thanks for sharing.

Located in the Yvelines department, this course is about 30km west from Paris and pretty close to its more famous counterpart The Golf National (about 10km in direct line), which hosted the 2018 Ryder Cup. Well designed by the CGX team, with nice fairway and green textures and some strategically-planted trees, this par 71 is not overly difficult, provided you can handle its (often) undulating (but wide) fairways, slight elevation changes and some tricky approaches to the greens, guarded by a few water hazards. On the front 9, my favorite holes are the right dogleg par-4 2nd, with a slightly-downhill tee shot over a small stream running across the fairway and trees, halfway in the corner, hiding the fairway and the green, the right dogleg par-4 5th hole, with an open view of the fairway, but with a small pond to the right and behind the green to watch for, and the short (around 460 yards) left dogleg par-5 6th, slightly-uphill all the way with a tee shot over another pond. The par-3 7th hole is nice too with a small pond on the left of the green (and a bunker on the right) and is followed by the right dogleg par-5 8th, uphill all the way with a slanted fairway, and the right dogleg par-4 9th hole, with a tiny pond on the left side of the green and a nice panoramic view near the clubhouse and the parking lot. Coming back, I like the left dogleg par-4 11th hole, downhill all the way, with an undulating fairway and two small elongated lakes on the left side, near the green, the beautiful par-3 12th, with a tee shot over a big lake (and with another lake on the far right of the green), the left dogleg par-4 14th hole, with a steeply-uphill approach to the green, and the par-3 18th with, again, a nice panoramic view (seen on the 9th hole) as you reach the green. Overall, a nice and enjoyable course, even if I did not have a chance to get a glimpse of the Château de Versailles... nearby !

As you can see there is a A and B version of this course, both versions are the same, only the flag position on the green is different. Important note: a lot of CGX courses are only playable from the: PRO tees The cgx designers created courses in high tempo, so they only made the pro tees playable. So in TW08 you have to select the PRO tees.
