This par 71 course is quite nice with its scenic hilly countryside, its wide-open fairways with plenty of wide bunkers left and right to watch for (mostly on the front 9), and its tougher back 9 with plenty of water hazards and slight elevation changes. After two nice opening holes along the river on the left (par-4 1st and par-5 2nd), my favorite holes are the par-3 3rd with a tee shot over a tree-lined (on the left) small elongated lake, the right dogleg par-4 5th hole, slightly uphill, with two small streams on the right and with an approach over the second one to reach the green, the right dogleg par-4 6th, with a tee shot over part of a wide lake, mostly on the right, (and with a few bunkers to deal with on the left), and the dogleg par-5 9th hole, with its tree-lined fairway, hiding the river on the left. On the back 9, I like the right dogleg par-5 11th hole, with a downhill and panoramic tee shot landing onto the fairway next to a river on the left (and a long second shot toward the green), the scenic par-4 12th, with its winding fairway between two big lakes and its elevated green, and the par-3 13th hole, with another tee shot over a lake to reach the slightly-downhill green. If the right dogleg par-4 14th hole is pretty too, with a downhill tee shot landing near a small elongated lake on the right (next to the road), and an approach over another smaller one, I prefer the tougher uphill and short right dogleg par-4 15th, where you will have to decide if you want to try to reach the green (set on a hilltop) with your tee shot (depending on the distance - around 325 yards on the A version, but around 340 yards on the B one) or play it safe and hit your tee shot to the left (with plenty of trees on the right of the fairway) and follow with another uphill shot over a small stream to reach the flag... Then, after the straight par-4 16th hole and its slanted fairway, not far from the road (all along below) on the right side, and the downhill par-3 17th, with quite a few bunkers on the right side of the green, you will finish with the left dogleg par-5 18th hole, with an undulating fairway and a long and blind second shot toward the green, with a steep slope around and a mall pond below in front, before noticing a small house (on the right of the manor behind) with half of its roof... missing ! With its panoramic views and challenging holes, this CGX Celtic Manor 2013 is a very enjoyable course and another nice one to keep, thanks again to the designing team !

As you can see there is a A and B version of this course, both versions are the same, only the flag position on the green is different. Important note: a lot of CGX courses are only playable from the: PRO tees The cgx designers created courses in high tempo, so they only made the pro tees playable. So in TW08 you have to select the PRO tees.
