Six years after Wizards' version, the CGX team designed this updated course (just re-released last week) and, just like the previous one, it is a masterpiece and one of the best you will find on this site !
Spectacular all-around, with a gorgeous mountain panorama, some elevation changes with a few blind shots, plenty of doglegs, some water hazards and a few well-placed bunkers, this par 72 (and no longer a par 73) will take your breath away while offering you a nice challenge.
The first four holes are a great way to start : the par-4 1st is a downhill left dogleg, with a beautiful clubhouse on a small hilltop (on the left of the tee box) and a blind tee shot over trees to cut the corner, and is followed by the gorgeous downhill right dogleg par-5 2nd hole, with a fairway set between villas on the left and a small stream all along on the right, turning into a river around an island, with a green in the middle, and a lake further down behind !
The par-3 3rd hole is more wide open, with the fairway hugging a river on the right, whereas the right dogleg par-4 4th goes back the other way, with a tee shot over the lake, with a slightly-downhill approach to the green.
My next favorite holes are the scenic par-3 8th, with a downhill tee shot over a small valley filled with rough and bushes, and an elongated bunker in front of the green to the right, and the right dogleg par-4 9th hole, with a downhill tee shot over a stream running across (and to the right) of the narrow fairway, and a slightly-uphill approach to the green.
As for the back 9, you will have a ball reaching the last four holes : the par-3 15th is gorgeous, with a nice iron bridge on the left of the tee box and a steep downhill tee shot over two big ponds, separated by a tiny patch of land, with a "tiered" hill above the green, and on the right dogleg par-5 16th hole, set along the road on the right, you will need to hit a downhill tee shot over a meandering stream (filled with plenty of vegetation) and another long shot over it twice, as it runs again across the fairway !
Then, after the breathtaking par-3 17th hole, with a steep downhill shot above a small stream running across and ending in front of the green (to the right), you will finish with the superb right dogleg par-4 18th hole, with a downhill tee shot over the stream running across (and along) on the right side of the fairway and a tough approach to the green, with a big pond in front and two big bunkers right on the edge, before heading for a well-deserved rest at the nice clubhouse, further back behind !
Besides the different par, I have listed (in the links below) a few other cosmetic changes between these CGX versions and Wizard's. But, either way, the end result is the same : you must download these courses and I guarantee you that you will enjoy your round (robin... hood) at this Sherwood Country club...

As you can see there is a A and B version of this course, both versions are the same, only the flag position on the green is different.
Important note: a lot of CGX courses are only playable from the: PRO tees
The cgx designers created courses in high tempo, so they only made the pro tees playable.
So in TW08 you have to select the PRO tees.
