I haven't played a better fantasy course than this on any TW game. Not only does the designer push the TW08 software to its utmost but he also knows his golf architecture. Quietly could be to TW08 what Mike Jones is to Links 2003.

Well, Quietly did it again, with this gorgeous par 72 course : after the Downtown at Sylven Glenn GC and its moving trains, trucks, cars, buses and planes flying by, and the Torrey Pines South Course with its hang gliders and paragliders, this time you will see another truck passing by, two planes flying from two different directions and beautiful crashing waves.
You will start your round with the long (almost 630 yards) par-5 1st hole, with a second shot over a big sandy area across the fairway, filled with a few bushes, followed by a nice approach to the green (with a big elongated bunker on the right in front, and the ocean further behind), before moving on to the similar but shorter par-4 2nd, and the gorgeous par-4 3rd hole, with a very undulating fairway (along a city road on the left, with a... lone truck passing by) and those two planes - mentioned above - flying by (behind a... Delta building) behind the green !
Then, after the following par-3 4th hole, with its green, surrounded by three big bunkers, and the par-4 5th, with its tree-lined fairway, a second shot over that sandy area again and an approach to the green, slightly to the right, you will move on the par-3 6th hole, where you will have to be careful with your tee shot to avoid landing in that wide bunker in front (or the one on the left) of the undulating and slightly-elevated green.
The par-4 7th hole is a nice right dogleg, with an undulating fairway and a second shot to the green, with a small bunker to watch for in front and a wider one on the right.
One of my favorite holes is the gorgeous par-4 8th, with its slanted fairway along the sandy beach on the left (with nice moving waves, not to mention a few seagulls... walking by !) and a green, slightly to the left and above the coastline, with a beautiful lighthouse on the right.
Finally, unlike the 1st hole, the par-5 9th is much shorter (about 500 yards) and is a right dogleg, with quite a few bunkers on the right all along and a little ditch across the undulating fairway in the middle, making your tee shot quite tricky, followed by a second shot to the slightly-elevated green.
The back 9 starts with the pretty and tough right dogleg par-4 10th hole, with a big Prince Edward Island agricultural factory on the right halfway, and a green, partially surrounded by a big pond in front and behind on the right, and is followed by the beautiful par-3 11th, with a tee shot across a narrow elongated lake crossing diagonally from the right and ending past the undulating green on the left.
After the right dogleg par-4 12th hole, with some elongated bunkers on the right, not far from the downhill and undulating green, and the other right dogleg par-4 13th, slightly uphill all the way (and with a big elongated bunker around the right corner), you will move on to the left dogleg par-4 14th hole, with another wide elongated bunker on the left, two-thirds of the way, and a smaller one on the left of the slightly-downhill green.
The par-5 15th hole is a right dogleg with a slanted and undulating fairway and a long approach to the undulating and elevated green, with a few bunkers, not far from it in front, unlike one of my other favorite holes, the very picturesque par-3 16th, with a gorgeous green, set on a rocky plateau with a big bunker in front and sand all around below, and with the ocean behind !
The last two holes are gorgeous too : the par-4 17th is a right dogleg, along the ocean on the right (and its crashing waves) where, after a tee shot over the beach landing onto a slanted fairway, you will need to hit your approach shot over more sand across to reach the slightly-elevated green, and the par-5 18th hole is a left dogleg, with a great panoramic view of the ocean, again on the right, another plane coming down from the right on its way to landing, and a very tough (and long) approach shot (with a few seagulls walking near you !) over more sand to the elevated green, with two deep bunkers below on the right !
Needless to say, this Atlantica course is a pure delight to watch and play ! But if you really want to see how Quietly made Tiger Woods’ History again, then I strongly suggest that you play the Atlantica at Night course first : it is an experience you will never forget, thanks to Quietly's incredible designing talent...
