Another great course from Micko, with a beautiful panorama, plenty of downhill holes and doglegs around wide lakes, beautiful villas, sparsely-planted trees and some well-placed bunkers ! Water is present on the first 5 holes, starting with the par-4 1st, with a downhill fairway, hugging a wide lake on the left, all the way to the green, slightly to the left. The par-5 2nd hole is a left dogleg, with a slanted fairway and with a second shot over a meandering creek midway, and is followed by the downhill right dogleg par-4 3rd, with a blind tee shot over trees on the right side, a couple of bunkers on the left, midway, and a couple of lakes on the right as you reach the green. The par-3 4th hole, slightly downhill, is quite scenic with a tee shot over a wide lake and a small green, which will give you time to gaze at the nice panorama, just like the left dogleg par-5 5th, with a downhill tee shot over the wide lake (with a small island in the middle) on the left of the fairway and a long approach shot over a little creek to reach the green. The course then moves inland with the right dogleg par-4 6th hole, with a downhill tee shot landing near four bunkers in the corner of a heavily-slanted fairway and a blind shot to the elevated green, and the nice left dogleg par-4 7th, downhill all the way with more wide bunkers along. Then, after the par-3 8th hole, with a wide lake on the right, you will move on to the left dogleg par-4 9th, with some nice villas on the left, a lake on the right, midway, and a slightly-uphill green. The back 9 starts with the left dogleg par-4 10th hole, with trees on the left side near the tee box, a couple of bunkers in the middle of the fairway, midway, and a downhill and slanted green with a couple of big bunkers in front, and is followed by the downhill par-3 11th, with the green near the edge of the lake. The right dogleg par-4 12th hole, downhill all the way, is quite picturesque with trees on the right side, and two wide lakes on the left, but so is the left dogleg par-4 13th, with a tee shot over part of two wide lakes (on the left), landing near a big four-leaf clover-shaped bunker at the edge, midway, and the green further downhill. The left dogleg par-5 14th hole offers a different challenge, with a big serpentine bunker on the left side of the fairway (with palm trees), a wide lake on the right, midway, and a long second shot to the green, (with another wide and elongated bunker guarding it), just like the similar par-4 15th, but with an approach shot over a small lake to the green, on the edge and slightly to the right ! On the par-4 16th hole, after a tee shot over a meandering creek crossing the fairway diagonally (from the left), and ending near a lake, you will need to hit your approach over the water to reach the slightly-downhill green, before facing the easy par-3 17th, with a tee shot over some water again, and finishing with the right dogleg par-5 18th hole, slightly uphill, with scattered big bunkers along the way (and some elongated ones near the green) and nice villas on the right side, overlooking the course. This Eagle Plantation course is one of the most scenic, ever designed by Micko, and with plenty of water hazards, wide bunkers and deep rough, will definitely challenge you all the way to the 18th green !
