Hyno ive seen the pictures and yes the course looks better in your version, but im talking about the layout , the plantings , etc etc of the real course that this is based on, but for me just me i think the course is not as scenic or pretty as many courses that i have played on TW and seen on tv .

raylloyd7, I am going to have to disagree with your comment. Granted the CGX team didn't have access to TexModding textures when they built this. My course for 07 which you need the TexMod app has game changing stock texture design using a 3 coat system. It looks absolutely phenomenal in the 07 engine. Go look at the pictures have 27 of them uploaded to this site.

Not as pretty as some courses but thats no fault of CGX the real course has never struck me as very scenic or pretty, but many thanks to all involved for being able to bring us all more from the great CGX team.

With nice tree-lined fairways and plenty of pine waste all around the holes, this par 70 is quite interesting and offers a different scenery, even though it is not one of my favorite courses, despite being well designed, as always, by the CGX team. The first three holes have wide open fairways, with pine waste on the sides and/or in front of the tee boxes and slightly-elevated greens, either to the left (par-4 1st hole) or to the right (par-4 2nd and 3rd holes). I prefer, instead, the long and scenic left dogleg par-4 4th hole, with a downhill tee shot landing near a big pine waste on the right of the slanted fairway, and the left dogleg par-5 5th, with another downhill tee shot between pine waste landing onto a narrower fairway, followed by a long second shot to reach the slightly-elevated green. I also like the short (about 355 yards) and sharp left dogleg par-4 7th hole, with a wide pine waste all along on the right (filled with five bunkers), and the par-3 9th, with more pine waste between the tee box and the slightly-elevated green, guarded by a big bunker in front on the left and a few smaller ones around. The back 9 is more challenging with narrower fairways, such as on the nice and long (about 610 yards) left dogleg par-5 10th hole, with a tee shot over a wide pine waste (and more on the sides) all the way to the slightly-elevated green, and the right dogleg par-4 11th, with another tee shot over pine waste on the way to a slightly-elevated green. If the right dogleg par-4 13th hole is nice and slightly uphill all the way with more pine waste and a very narrow fairway, my favorite hole on this course is the left dogleg par-4 16th, with a tee shot over more pine waste and a... big pond, with a big bunker further to the left, but the par-3 17th hole, with pine waste all around and a few bunkers around the green, and the right dogleg par-4 18th, slightly uphill all the way to the green, with wide pine waste on the right side, are also worth mentioning. But, despite its nice design, this Pineshurst no. 2 course lacks a little variety and colors to rank higher in my list, even if I enjoyed the back 9 much more...

As you can see there is a A and B version of this course, both versions are the same, only the flag position on the green is different. Important note: a lot of CGX courses are only playable from the: PRO tees The cgx designers created courses in high tempo, so they only made the pro tees playable. So in TW08 you have to select the PRO tees.
