Another nice rendition of a real course from the CGX team, with beautiful trees, colorful flowerbeds and quite a few water hazards.
After a nice left dogleg par-4 opening hole, I like the dogleg par-4 3rd, with a big lake on the left and an approach shot over it to reach the green (with a flag very close to the water), and the par-5 4th hole, with a fairway next to a meandering creek on the left (with some nice homes along the way) and a green, slightly to the left.
On the par-4 5th hole, your downhill tee shot will need to avoid a few bunkers on the left and trees on the right, halfway, as the fairway is quite narrow before hitting your approach shot to the green, slightly to the left, unlike the spectacular and very short (about... 350 yards !) dogleg par-5 6th where, with a very wide lake and a green, sharply to the left, you will have to hit a perfect tee shot to avoid landing in the water or in the bunkers on the right !
Another nice hole is the right dogleg par-4 8th, with trees in the right corner midway and a big pond in front of the green on the left.
On the back 9, I like the dogleg par-4 11th hole, with a second shot over the lake on the left to reach the green, the par-5 12th, with a tee shot over part of a lake landing onto a narrow fairway, and a slightly-elevated green, surrounded by small bunkers (hard to reach on your second shot), and the straight par-4 13th hole, with its green set between two small lakes.
As you get ready to tee off on the right dogleg par-5 16th hole, you will see (on the left) a big scoreboard with camera towers behind, and the course’s name written among colorful bushes on a small mound in front, before hitting your second shot over water in front of the green.
Finally, you will move on to the par-3 17th hole, quite pretty with a lake divided on both sides in front of the green, with a big bunker in front, and turning into a small meandering creek behind it, before heading for the right dogleg par-4 18th, with a lake in front and on the right of the green.
This Bay Hill Club & Lodge course is well designed, thanks to the CGX team, and has a few challenging holes that will keep you on your toes, no matter what version you choose to play...

Another great addition to the CGX range of designs, as ever such a high standard both very scenic and runs real smooth, as always enjoyed my round very much and many thanks to all concerned for bringing more of these great courses for us all to enjoy.
