After playing this par 72 course, and seeing the video of the real one in Lake Buena Vista, I must say that the CGX team did a pretty good job designing it, but don’t be fooled by its wide fairways as you will have plenty of water hazards to worry about on your way to the 18th green.
As you get ready to tee off on the par-4 1st hole, the first things that you will notice are the big tee markers and... Mickey’s ears on top of the hole number (a nice little touch !) before seeing the small elongated lake on the left and a meandering river on the right of the fairway, running past the green.
After the right dogleg par-4 2nd hole and its tee shot over the river in front of the tee box, one of the most scenic holes (and one of my favorites) is the par-3 6th, with a tee shot over the narrowest part of a big lake and three bunkers around the green, with the one in front in the shape of Mickey Mouse’s head !
The left dogleg par-4 7th hole has another tee shot over the narrow part of that lake (much wider on the left), and is followed by the long left dogleg par-5 8th and the straight par-4 9th hole, with a tee shot over the river in front, and an elongated lake on the left of the green, with a few grandstands around.
The back 9 starts with the par-5 10th hole, with a tee shot over the meandering river in front, then running along the fairway on the left, and continues with two of my favorite holes : the par-4 11th hole is beautiful, with a tee shot over the river coming to a fork in front, a small elongated lake further to the right, and an approach shot to the green, with a small pond on the left, and the par-3 12th is nice too with a tee shot over the creek in front going to the right, and an elevated green, with three bunkers in front.
After the short (about 340 yards) left dogleg par-4 13th hole, with plenty of trees in the corner (and an elongated bunker behind), I like the right dogleg par-5 14th, with some nice flowers around a couple of trees on the right of the tee box (and a big pond on the right), and another elongated pond to the left and in front of the green, making your second shot quite risky if you want to have a chance to putt for an eagle.
On the right dogleg par-4 16th hole, you will have to hit a slightly-downhill tee shot followed by an approach shot to the elevated green, with a big pond in front (and more water almost all around on the left), before heading for the nice left dogleg par-4 17th, with a fairway between a big lake on the left and a meandering river on the right, splitting near the green and forming another small lake near it.
As expected, this CGX Disney Magnolia course plays very smoothly but it can spell trouble if you are not careful with all those water hazards and well-placed bunkers. I just wished it had a few more colors around it, such as on the 14th hole with all those nice flowers near the tee area...

The cgx designers created courses in high tempo, so they only made the pro tees playable.
So in TW08 you have to select the PRO tees.
