Another nice and smooth course designed by the CGX team, with a small wooded and hilly countryside, plenty of trees and bushes, wide fairways and greens, and with a back 9 more challenging, especially on the last few holes with plenty of water hazards. Holes worth mentioning on the front 9 are the right dogleg par-5 2nd, slightly uphill all the way to the green, with a big pond (and a fountain in the middle) on the far right, halfway and not too far from the green, the straight par-4 3rd hole, with a downhill tee shot, a small ditch halfway across the narrow fairway with plenty of bushes, and the pretty, but not too difficult par-3 4th, with a big pond (and a little fountain in it) on the right of the green. Then, after the straight par-4 5th hole, similar to the 3rd hole, but slightly uphill all the way to the green, the next three holes are nice : on the par-3 7th, you will need to hit a tee shot over a meandering creek before aiming for its slightly-elevated green, whereas on the the straight par-4 8th hole, downhill all the way, your approach shot will fly over the meandering creek. But my favorite hole on the front 9 is the beautiful left dogleg par-5 9th, with a long approach to the wide island green, with a few rocks in the water in front ! The back 9 has more water holes and is more challenging. The first three holes are doglegs, to the right on the par-5 10th hole, with an uphill shot to the elevated green, then to the left with the par-4 11th, with a tee shot over bushes across the fairway halfway, and the par-4 13th hole, with a tee shot over bushes across the fairway halfway and a slightly-elevated green. I also like the right dogleg par-5 14th hole, with a tee shot flying over a meandering creek twice and a long second shot to the green, with a big and wide bunker in front and halfway around, but the best holes are yet to come... If the par-3 16th hole is pretty, albeit not too difficult, with a big pond all the way across in front of the green, the left dogleg par-4 17th (my favorite !)iis simply gorgeous with a big tee shot over a very wide lake ending to the left of the slightly-downhill green, and so is the left dogleg par-4 18th hole, with a beautiful approach shot over a big lake to reach the green, surrounded by quite a few grandstands. As usual, any course designed by the CGX team is worth playing and this real one is no exception, even though, with all those wide fairways and greens (and very few bunkers), you will have to wait until the last few water holes to really be tested...
