Am playing the Hawaii courses, and I have to say Waialae is the most "Hawaiian" of the ones I've played so far. Just beautiful with lots of palm trees, not a difficult course even if played from the Tournament tees, but it plays a lot better from the fairway or first cut! Shots from the rough can be blocked by trees, carry over water, etc. Thanks, CGX Team for the great design, lovely plantings, and for your sharing of courses with us.

Great course with distinctive planting. A pleasure to play in tropical scenery. I`ve been looking for this one for such long time. Many thanks for efforts to bring more CGX courses available.

Another postcard course, designed by the CGX team, with a beautiful Hawaiian panorama (nice and blue ocean, small mountains, palm trees, gorgeous villas), but not too difficult, despite a few water hazards and doglegs, with its wide fairways and smooth greens.
On the front 9, my favorite holes are the left dogleg par-4 2nd, with a tee shot over a small river and a nice lake on the left side of the fairway halfway, followed by the par-4 3rd hole... the other way around, the short (about 460 yards) and straight par-4 5th, with a tee shot over a small river, nice villas on the right side, and an approach shot over a river again to reach the green, and the par-3 7th hole, with a tee shot over the river running across from the right all the way past the green (to the left), with five bunkers around in front.
Coming back, I like the short (about 355 yards) par-4 10th hole, along the palm tree-lined fairway with a slightly-elevated green on the left, the straight and slightly-downhill par-3 11th, with a beautiful view of the beach and the ocean behind, and the beautiful right dogleg par-4 13th hole, with palm trees in the corner and a small river running all along the fairway on the right.
The last three holes are also nice : the par-4 16th is a left dogleg, with a beautiful panoramic approach shot to the green with the beach and ocean behind, whereas on the par-3 17th hole, you will need to hit a tee shot over a small river midway through, while enjoying the pretty view as you reach the green.
As for the short (about 470 yards) and sharp left dogleg par-5 18th hole, with its slightly-downhill green, and grandstands halfway around behind, it will offer you a golden opportunity to finish with an eagle...
With its beautiful textures and nice plantings, Waialae CC is a very enjoyable course and another one to keep, thanks again to the CGX team !

As you can see there is a A and B version of this course, both versions are the same, only the flag position on the green is different.
Important note: a lot of CGX courses are only playable from the: PRO tees
The cgx designers created courses in high tempo, so they only made the pro tees playable.
So in TW08 you have to select the PRO tees.
