There are a lot of great courses in coursedownloads, and that provides a variety of courses for everyone - certainly each of us "golfers" have our own idea of the ideal course. For me, this is one of the great courses. I have my biases, of course, but prefer real (or fantasy courses that play like real courses), where you play the wind and the speed of the greens, and are rewarded for good shots, penalized for bad ones. Here you have it. Thanks, TeeOff...I'd call you Lawrence as others have, but we haven't been formally introduced! :-)

Thanks chaps for the comments. I always try to replicate the course as accurate as possible.

The way we are playing here you might want to throw the clubs in the lake. If you throw the clubs in the lake, you might miss the lake.
No course in the works: retired. |

Nice – and real – course, designed by TeeOffTowersey, not overly difficult but with a few doglegs and more water hazards and a couple of risk/reward holes on the back 9. This par 72 starts with the left dogleg par-4 1st hole, with a lone tree, a little bit in the way, not far from the green and, after the right dogleg par-4 2nd, is followed by the left dogleg par-5 3rd hole, with a (lit) lamp post on the left of the tee box and a tee shot over a small fence and a cart path, with trees in the left corner, not far from the green. Then, after the par-4 4th hole, with a slightly-elevated green to the left and a big daisy-shaped bunker in front, you will face two nice holes : the par-3 5th, with a beautiful road on the left side and a few trees, partially hiding the green on the left side, and the picturesque left dogleg par-5 6th hole, with the road, again on the left, and quite a few trees bordering the undulated fairway on the left with nice houses all along ! After the dogleg par-4 8th hole, where you can cut the corner with your tee shot over the tree-lined fairway in order to have a clear view of the green, slightly to the right (with a big lake further to the right), you will reach one of my favorite holes, the gorgeous dogleg par-4 9th, quite short (about 310 yards away) and where you will have to decide whether to try to reach the green, sharply to the left, with your tee shot, or play it safe and land your ball on the fairway to the right. The back 9 has more water, starting with the straight par-5 10th hole, with a tee shot over a lake and a long approach shot to reach the green, with another lake on the left side. The dogleg par-5 12th hole, with its fairway “hugging” the big lake on the left all the way to the green (with a big bunker in front) is quite nice, just like the straight par-3 14th, with a nice view of the wide lake behind. I also like the last three holes : the par-4 16th is pretty straight, with trees on the left, a wide lake on the right and a big tree standing in front of the green, set near the edge of the water, the par-3 17th needs a big tee shot over the lake to reach the green, and the par-4 18th hole, with the lake on the right, is a nice way to finish with an approach shot over the water to reach the peninsula green. Overall, with its nice plantings, small fences, houses and wide lakes, this Millennium course is fun to play and offers a few challenging holes. I just wished somebody could have taken away that big power line, standing on the left side of the fairway midway through on the straight par-4 13th hole... Hope it does not rain when you will be playing this well-designed course by TeeOffTowersey !
