Certainly enjoyed my 4 rounds of the Open, unfortunately in the final round I had to play a shot from under the stands...made a bogie...and I had Rahm on the ropes! Know Quietly got the course out so we could play it, no complaints...well...no! No complaints. Played much like the real course, and of course, like Hyno, sure was keeping an eye out for those gliders! Thanks, Quietly.

I did create some gliders but I had more work to make them work the way I wanted and I wanted the course released before the tourney was over. (see the pic in the upcoming projects thread)

A gorgeous rendition of Torrey Pines by Quietly, who made an exception designing this real course, worth waiting for !
With a great attention to details (USGA tee markers, hole signs, fans’ colorful clothings, small fences, camera towers with the US trophy on it, etc.), not to mention beautiful plantings and nice textures used to recreate the small canyons, cliffs and rolling hills, this par 71 is a delight to watch and play.
After the par-4 2nd hole, with an uphill tee shot and a green, slightly to the right (with the ocean further to the right), the scenery becomes spectacular with the very scenic par-3 3rd, with a downhill slope and the great panoramic view of the hills and cliffs around, and the gorgeous (and scary !) par-4 4th hole, with its fairway close to the cliff on the left side, and the crashing waves (with the sound !) to "admire".
The right dogleg par-4 5th hole is nice too, with a slightly-uphill blind tee shot and the ocean (on the right) and is followed by another dogleg to the right, the par-4 6th (par 5 for the real US Open) with a big tree standing In the corner on the right, next to a big wasteland.
I also like the dogleg right par-4 7th hole with its spectacular panoramic view of the small canyons as you reach the green.
After the long and straight par-5 9th and par-4 10th holes, with their fairways next to office buildings all along on the left side, I like the ocean view as you reach the green of the par-3 11th hole, slightly downhill, before heading to the spectacular, long and left dogleg par-5 13th, with its downhill tee shot over (and next) to a very wide small canyon on the left side, and a very tough second shot to try to get close to the uphill green, guarded by bunkers on both sides.
The par-4 14th hole is not to be overlooked either as it quite scenic too, with a canyon on the right (and beyond the green), and is followed by the gorgeous (and one of my favorite holes) par-3 16th, with its spectacular view of the canyon and cliffs near the ocean as you tee off to reach the uphill green on the other side of the hill, guarded by a few bunkers in front !
Finally, after teeing off over another big hollow wasteland (or small canyon) on the pretty par-4 17th hole, you will complete your US Open round with the long par-5 18th hole, and its tough approach shot to the green, guarded by a small pond in front, on the left side.
