If you like playing on a links course this is for you. Rolling fairways bunkers well place and greens that will cause a problem or two and some nice views to take in as you make your way around this little gem Nice one Micko

Travel with Micko from Engelberg (Angel Mountain) high in the Swiss Alps to the western coast of Scotland, look at the Ailsa Craig in the distance and you have a wonderful golf experience. Micko man, you are a star. Then go from Turnberry to the north along the coastline and and you will arrive at Troon, where the Royal Troon golf course is waiting for you. We are waiting for your next beautiful design.... Thank you very much.

ChuckH Thanks for the comments. I did leave the tee markers off the other tees, but they are set up so you can still choose to play off them.

Thanks for doing the course. Great rendition. Regarding the tee markers, there are no tee markers at all on the forward, middle and back tees. Was this done on purpose? I don't mind the oversized ones, BTW. I hope you continue making courses.

Holein1 Thanks for the feedback. I had to use two colours for the ocean because I wanted to use a reflective texture near to the shore but the whole ocean is such a large area that it was taking too long to load between holes so that I had to use a different none reflective texture for some of the ocean. As for the tee markers with hindsight your probably right.

Two for two ! After designing his first course in the mountains, Micko strikes again, this time in Scotland, with a links version very close to the real (Trump) Turnberry course. Well designed, with nice gorse bushes here and there, quite a few (pot) bunkers and other sand traps, this par 71 plays very smoothly and is quite enjoyable with the most scenic holes being the middle ones. On the front 9, I like the par-4 1st hole, slightly to the right, quite pretty with small houses next to the road on the left side and the ocean in front as a backdrop, and the par-3 4th hole, close to the seashore with a big sand trap halfway on the left side of the fairway. My favorite holes, however, are the slightly left dogleg par-5 7th, very nice with its meandering creek halfway down the fairway, and the gorgeous par-3 9th hole, with a tee shot over big rocks below (next to the ocean) and with a nice lighthouse on the left side, not far from the green. On the back 9, I also like the left dogleg par-5 10th hole, quite scenic with the ocean on the left side and a tee shot over small mounds and rocks (with big bunkers and high rough in front of the green), and the picturesque par-3 11th hole, with another tee shot over rocks and lots of high rough and sand near the shore. Finally, after the nice par-3 15th hole, with its slightly downhill green and very narrow fairway, and the right dogleg par-4 16th, with a little creek flowing across near the green, my other favorite hole is the very scenic par-4 18th hole, with its gorgeous view of the hotel beyond the green (and its nice steps to get there) and all the little Scottish flags next to the road. Overall, even though I am not too fond of the different sea colors used and the (oversized ?) tee markers, it is hard to believe that this is only Micko’s second course ! And after the mountains and the ocean, I can’t hardly wait to discover his new creation…
