Amazing design, a blast and plenty to gaze at throughout - and hopefully to distract you from what may be a poor round (as was the case for me lol). It's a tough layout alright, the run of par 4's on the front is very testing, and the back 9 offers little respite, even with the few par 5's. Some very impressive holes amongst them - the 7th being a great example. But it's all those little CL touches that really make this another standout, special work from Quietly - just brilliant stuff, a joy to play. Cheers!

Quietly did it again with this very challenging and scenic course, coupled with an incredible attention to details. This par 73 is a masterpiece with its beautiful small mountain panorama, gorgeous fall colors, small lakes, and narrow fairways. The first three holes are all downhill and will test your shot accuracy, with well-placed bunkers in the middle of the fairways. As you reach the gorgeous right dogleg par-4 4th hole, you will be seeing a small bird looking at you on the right side of the tee and, if you wait a few seconds, Canadian geese flying in a V-formation passing by over the lake hugging the very narrow fairway on the right side : simply superb ! The left dogleg par-4 5th hole is similar to the 4th but, this time, the lake is on the left side and big bunkers await your errant shots in the middle of the fairway. The par-4 7th hole is very scenic too, offering different landing spots as the fairways are split by a lake in the middle, leaving you with a choice of the narrow fairway on the left (but with trees in the way) or the fairway on the right, with big bunkers in the middle. And to top it all, as you reach the small green, very close to the lake, you will see a small wooden boat, bobbling on the other bank and geese swimming nearby ! Another bird will keep an eye on you on the left side of the par-3 8th hole where, apparently, plenty of golfers have teed off, judging from all the footsteps left on the tee box... On the back 9, some gorgeous holes are still awaiting you, starting with the par-5 10th hole, with its twisted fairway, going left downhill, then slightly uphill to the right. After the par-3 11th hole, another surprise will await you : short of a balloon ride, the next three par-4 holes will offer you a balloon... sight, as two hot-air balloons will be over the fairways as you tee off. The 12th hole is quite nice with its undulated fairway and big bunkers midway and near the tee, just like the 13th, with its narrow fairway and the lake on the right side. But the most picturesque hole is the left dogleg 14th, with two Canadian geese, real close to the tee box watching you as you tee off over the lake, which hugs the fairway all the way to the green ! Another superb hole is the very scenic par-5 16th, with a small lake in the middle of two narrow fairways, and with a nice downhill view and a very tough approach shot to the green. Finally, the long par-5 17th hole, with its very narrow tree-lined fairway and the left dogleg par-4 18th hole, with the beautiful clubhouse, will conclude this gorgeous round of golf. With its beautiful landscape, gorgeous plantings and such "cute" details as fallen autumn leaves and footsteps on many tees, not to mention, of course, all the Canadian geese, this course is setting new designing standards and... I have yet to play the winter version ! In fact, Quietly' work is so outstanding that I was expecting to see the hot-air balloons fly by and some more original tee markers (but I am being very picky). In the meantime, congratulations, once again, Quietly, for your amazing work !
