What a superb course, with its small mountain backdrop, gorgeous plantings and... vineyards, nice houses and its meandering river !
After the first two doglegs to the right par-4 holes, quite nice with houses on the left of the fairways and a small river on the right, my favorite holes are the par-3 3rd, very scenic with small rocks in the middle of the serpentine river, the par-5 6th, with a big lake on the right, houses on the left and hills in front, the dogleg to the left par-5 8th, with water near the green on the left side, and the very scenic par-3 9th hole, with a pond in front of the tiny green.
The back 9 is equally impressive with some great holes too, such as the very picturesque par-3 12th, with the green very close to a big lake and other... tee boxes.
And what about the gorgeous par-4 13th hole ? With its big lake facing the tee box, you might think twice about trying to reach the green (which is possible)... As for the par-5 14th hole, it is very pretty too, with the lake on the left side, bunkers on the right and trees partially hiding the green.
The finishing holes are nice too : the par-3 16th, with vineyards on the left side, the par-5 17th, with the river running halfway around the green, and the par-4 18th, with its downhill tee shot and difficult pin placement.
With this breathtaking par 72, ron717 came up with a masterpiece and definitely one of his best courses ever... I just wished that he would have included his usual trademark... golf bag behind the tees (ha, ha) !
