Why are courses set in England's countryside so gorgeous ? Well, maybe because of the talent of designers, such as TeeOffTowersey, who can recreate courses so realistic that you feel like you are playing there...
This par 73 is a beauty with its superb landscape, plantings, deep bunkers and meandering creeks, not to mention its undulated fairways, tricky and slopey greens...
While all holes are quite challenging, give or take a couple, I prefer the tougher front 9, especially the scenic par-5 2nd hole, with creeks on both sides of the fairway, the par-3 5th and its elevated green guarded by two deep bunkers, the par-4 8th hole, so picturesque with its meandering creek that you may be tempted to reach the green from the tee box, and the nice overview as you reach the green of the par-3 9th hole.
The back 9 is nice too with a succession of downhill holes, starting with the par-4 10th and its blind tee shot over trees hiding the fairway, split in half by a small creek, followed by the par-5 11th hole, with its little creek running all along the fairway on the left side, and ending with the par-3 14th hole with its nice overview around the green.
Last, but not least, the par-4 18th hole, slightly downhill too, is gorgeous with its two ponds on the right side of the fairway and the small creek in between, and is a fitting way to end a delightful round of golf... English style, thanks, once again, to TeeOffTowersey !
