What a gorgeous links course ! After finishing playing at the National Golf Links of America, it's nice to be back to Scotland for the "real" thing. Not only this par 69 looks nice, with its great view of the blue sea (yes, it is really blue !), it is also quite challenging, at times, with some hard-to-see fairways, strategically-placed deep bunkers and a few elevated greens. On the front 9, I like the par-4 3rd hole, slightly curved to the left with that nice isolated house on the right and the view beyond the green, and the two par-3 4th and 7th holes, the latter having a creek on the right side running all the way to the sea. Coming back, the 10t hole is another par-3 with an elevated green whereas the par-4 11th is quite nice with its creek splitting the fairway in the middle and its nice view of the lighthouse far away. I also like the par-4 13th, a dogleg to the right with plenty of flowers and its close view of the lighthouse near the green, and the nice view of the green of the par-5 18th with the clubhouse and its Scottish flag, nearby on the left side. Well designed by ron717, this course will be added to my best-around-the-world list without a doubt !

Another super design. This is a deceptively tough little track (I shouldn't be surprised - it's in Scotland after all). The biggest challenge here, for mine, was the raised greens - a consistent feature throughout. I rarely had trouble hitting them in reg however I equally-rarely got any approach shot close.. and some of the greens were subtly tricky. So, lots of white on my scorecard was the result. No real standout holes but I really liked two par 4's - the 6th and 13th, both very nice. Had a lot of head-scratching fun and a great design, cheers!

Playing this course is really enjoyable. A superb piece of work. It would take to long to describe all the good points. Thank you, ron717.

A little gem.,or rather a big gem. Loved the way the big open spaces were dealt with.,at times it looked like a painting. Also the background fitted in well. Birdsong was good. Keep em coming.
