Since “a picture is worth a thousand words”, then DaveL “wrote” a novel, posting... 25 photos in the gallery (ha, ha) ! But I am glad that he did, as you will be able to get a clearer “picture” of what his first course looks like, with plenty of elevation changes, nice trees, bushes, small rocks, mostly wide-open fairways but with very challenging approaches to the (often) steeply-elevated greens. On the front 9, my favorite holes are the right dogleg par-4 1st, downhill all the way, the par-3 3rd, with plenty of high weeds all across midway, and the right dogleg par-5 4th, with a downhill tee shot and a long second shot toward the steeply-elevated (and pretty) green, with 8 (!) big bunkers all around in front and quite a few bushes to deal with. I also like the left dogleg par-4 5th hole, downhill all the way, with a tee shot over a small lake and an approach to the green over another one, and the left dogleg par-5 6th, with another lake on the left, midway, and a very long second shot over the winding fairway toward its elevated green. Coming back, I like the par-4 10th hole, with a wide and shallow area filled with deep rough, small rocks and a few bushes splitting the fairway midway, and a green, slightly to the left, and the short (around 315 yards) and straight par-4 14th, with a couple of tall trees in front of the steeply-elevated green, hard to reach from the tee box. Other holes worth mentioning are the downhill par-3 15th, with a big pond in front of the green, and the left dogleg par-4 17th, uphill all the way with a few bunkers in the corner and a big pond in front of the green, to the left. Overall, despite a few grainy patches (between the layout and the horizon) quite noticeable on the 5th, 12th and 15th holes, this par 72 is quite enjoyable and very impressive... for a first-time designer !

I thought this was a very good first course. It played a little easy and very wide open but overall it seems like you know how to use the CA very well!

Dave, you can automatically show shot paths and hole numbers in CA by hitting alt+d or shift+d. Looks like you did it manually. Hopefully can save you some time.
Looking forward to playing the course!
