A very challenging and hilly course, with plenty of tough (and often) blind shots over trees (mostly on the front 9) and lakes (on the back 9), with beautiful views, a lot of elevation changes, undulating, slanted and/or sloped fairways and quite a few tricky greens. This par 72 starts with the short and straight par-4 1st hole where, with a blind shot over a few trees and a road, crossing the fairway midway, reaching the elevated green is almost impossible from the tee box. The par-5 2nd hole is quite long and scenic with another blind tee shot over trees downward a winding fairway, with a wide lake on the right, midway, ending past the elevated green on the left, and with more trees in the way on your second shot and a big bunker in front of the green to the right. I also like the par-4 3rd hole, uphill all the way, with more trees in front of the tee box, bunkers on the left midway of the slanted and undulating fairway and a lone tree (with a bunker behind) in front of the green (on the left), and the par-3 5th, with a blind and downhill tee shot over a nice road crossing the fairway diagonally and over some trees in front of the green. The par-3 6th is a nice hole too, slightly-uphill with more trees, partially hiding the green, and with a big swimming pool (and two diving boards !) on the far right, and is followed by the par-5 7th, uphill all the way, with an undulating, winding and slanted tree-lined fairway, midway, and an undulating green, guarded by a big elongated bunker (on the right), reachable with a long second shot. Then, after the short and straight par-4 8th hole, with bare land all around and four isolated trees in the middle of the fairway, you will face the tricky and uphill par-4 9th, parallel to the road on the right, with a narrow fairway midway (with trees and bunkers on both sides), and an approach over the road, crossing the fairway not too far from the green (with a nice panoramic view of the lake behind). On the right dogleg par-4 10th hole, you will need to hit a tee shot over some trees landing near some bunkers on the left (with a wide lake, midway on the right), before hitting a very unusual approach shot over a small iron bridge, with the green further below (with a lone tree and a bunker, real close to the flag on the right). The left dogleg par-5 11th hole, one of my favorite holes, is tough and gorgeous, with a blind and steeply-downhill tee shot to the right (hopefully) landing onto the sloped part of the fairway (high above the lake on the left) and a long and blind shot over some trees (on the left) to reach the green at the bottom of a slight downhill slope. Another challenging hole awaits you on the right dogleg par-4 12th, with a blind and uphill tee shot over the road (crossing the fairway, midway), landing on top of a high mound (with two big elongated bunkers way below on the sides) and a steeply-downhill approach toward the green, with the lake behind. The scenery changes drastically with the flat left dogleg par-5 13th hole, quite beautiful with its long (and tough) second shot over the lake to reach the green, with a couple of trees in front, and the par-4 14th, with a tee shot over a tiny island (in the middle of a big lake) and a blind and uphill approach toward the green, at the bottom of a small downhill slope, with a very wide bunker in front. The par-3 15th hole is superb (another one of my favorites), with a blind tee shot downward a tiny island green (with a bunker in front and a couple of trees around), whereas the right dogleg par-4 16th is very scenic with a tee shot over a small island and a lake, hugging the heavily-slanted fairway (on the right), and another shot over it to reach the sloped green. On the left dogleg par-4 17th hole, you will need to hit another tee shot over a lake followed by a steeply-uphill approach to reach the green (with the road behind) before moving on to the gorgeous (but very tricky) par-3 18th, with a tee shot over a wide lake landing onto a tiny and sloped green, surrounded by patches of grass and plenty of sand. With beautiful trees, some breathtaking views, and spectacular blind shots, this Twin Lakes Country Club offers plenty of challenging holes and you will definitely enjoy this very hilly course, described like a real course (but classified as a fantasy one ?), thanks to BERPAR golf's great design !
