One more time, rlslay outdid himself with another gorgeous course (what an unbelievable city panorama !), where you will spend more time gazing at the scenery than playing... But don’t be fooled by its beauty, as this par 72 is pretty tough, especially on the back 9 ! After two beautiful straight holes (the par-4 1st, slightly downhill all the way, and the par-3 2nd, with a great panoramic view of the city (with a stadium far away), you will face two right dogleg par-4 holes, with downhill tee shots, with my favorite being the 4th, with three bunkers on both sides of the undulating fairway in the right corner and a slightly-uphill approach to the green, guarded by three more bunkers in front and with a little pond on the right beyond. Then, after the pretty par-3 5th hole, with a small pond on the right of the green, and the left dogleg par-4 6th, where you can cut the corner with your downhill tee shot and avoid small bunkers on both sides in the corner, you will face three more nice holes. The par-4 7th hole is short (about 340 yards) and downhill all the way, but its green, slightly to the right, is impossible to reach with your tee shot with 5 small bunkers lined up in the middle (not far from it) and two wider ones on the sides, and is followed by the par-5 8th, also downhill but with plenty of small bunkers all along on the sides of a narrow fairway and with a blind second shot to the green, slightly to the right, and a wide lake on the right. You will finish the front 9, with the very scenic dogleg par-4 9th hole, with a downhill tee shot over a wide lake ending to the left of the green, a narrow fairway with five small pot bunkers in the middle halfway and a beautiful panoramic view as you reach the green. If the right dogleg par-4 10th hole is not too difficult, it is pretty with a downhill fairway hugging the lake on the left and five small pot bunkers on the right side in the corner, unlike the short (about 330 yards) downhill par-4 11th, quite tough with a green, slightly to the right, surrounded halfway by a very wide bunker with two trees in front. The downhill par-5 13th hole combines beauty and length (more than 600 yards), and is quite challenging with a lake on the left, a winding fairway, split halfway with plenty of bushes in the middle, and lots of pot bunkers in the corners, unlike the easy, but gorgeous, downhill par-3 14th, with its bush-lined fairway and lush vegetation all around (and behind) the green. On the downhill par-5 15th hole, you will have to lay up on your tee shot to avoid landing in deep rough in the middle of the split fairway, before aiming for the green, slightly to the left, with an elongated bunker on the left, not far from the green and three small bunkers in front. Then, after the downhill par-4 16th hole, with a tee shot over a wide lake, four bunkers in the middle in the right corner and another big lake on the left of the green, and the par-4 17th, facing the ocean and downhill all the way with more bunkers all along and a green, slightly to the right, you will finish with the straight and downhill par-5 18th hole, with high rough and two pot bunkers at both ends in the middle of the fairway, and a few more bunkers on the sides. With its spectacular layout, this City Par GC is... up to par (by rlslay's standards), but close to "par... fection" to me ! But beware of its lush vegetation, as it can spell trouble if your ball fall into it, as I found out, scoring 19 (!) on the 13th hole, a few minutes after... acing the par-3 5th hole !

The best custom courses for TW08 are on a par, if not better, than the set of courses that comes with the game. This one such course. Great fun, very well laid out and spectacular to look at. The pano works a treat. I especially liked the hole with a bunkers stretching all around the green. Was that the 11th? Five stars for sure!

Reminds me a little of a course in Hawaii for some reason. Great course, got an eagle on 17 in wind and rain (and dry greens...) to break par for the round! Thanks, rislay, another great course.

Your a pure artist when it come to designs, would love to see Billies Fast Greens on some course in the future, that would make a really tuff layout...

I'm as guilty as anyone about not leaving comments, I always mean to but somehow always forget. I've enjoyed so many of your courses. You do a great job 'world building', making the course feel like it exists within a larger space. In this one its amazing how those houses and landscaping just blend into the pano. Really adds to the immersive experience.
Also, are you sure you put enough bunkers on the course? lol. I hope you have someone on the 10th tee handing out replacement sand wedges. :)
Great job, as per usual.
