A really nice course, with elevation, tough but fair greens, an abundance of rough and trees, but always Bobby leaves you an out, even if it isn't the out you want... One of my favorites, the kind of course I could play in real life...shoot a 135, but could play it! Thanks, Bobby, another gem.

A very nice course by Bobby Bolin with a lot of elevation changes, small creeks and lakes, and some challenging holes. Right off the bat, the par-4 1st hole will make you think twice about club selection as the elevated green is between two big lakes but is “only” 300 yards (or so) away from the tee box… A meandering creek will offer you a new challenge on the left dogleg par-5 2nd hole. Then, after the nice downhill par-3 3rd hole, over a small creek, the scenery changes with the right dogleg par-4 4th hole, pretty tough, with a rollercoaster fairway where you will need to hit an uphill tee shot and a blind approach shot to the elevated green while making sure your ball does not roll all the way down to the creek, if you fall short… I also like the very nice left par-5 6th hole, with its zigzagging path, downhill tee shot, and elevated green “guarded” in front by two trees. As for the par-3 7th hole, it is simply gorgeous with a small creek in front of the green and very colorful flowerbeds behind, reminiscent of the 12th hole at Augusta… The last noticeable hole is the very nice right dogleg par-4 8th hole, with a lake on the right side of the green and a small hill behind. The back 9 starts with a short right dogleg par-4 10th hole, with a little creek across midway through and an elevated green, and is followed by the very nice left dogleg par-5 11th, with an uphill tee shot and a blind approach shot to a peninsula green. Other noticeable holes are the left dogleg par-4 13th, with a lake between 2 fairways but if you stay on the left side and avoid the bunkers on the right, you should be OK. As for the par-4 14th hole, after reaching the green downhill, take a look back and you will see the big “CP” initials on some bushes on the sloped fairway, one of Bobby Bolin’s trademarks… Another gorgeous hole is the par-3 16th, with a lake (and a small island in the middle) on the left side of the green and a small hill. Then, after the left dogleg par-5 17th hole and its rollercoaster fairway, the left dogleg par-4 18th will “force” you to lay off on your tee shot to avoid landing your ball in the lake, but you will still be faced with a very long approach shot to the elevated green, guarded by a big bunker in front. Well designed, nice to look at and quite challenging, this par 72 course is one of Bobby Bolin’s best and you should hurry to download it !

You know you're in for a rollicking time when you drive the 1st and knock in an eagle. So it was for me with this Bolin gem. An awesome layout, plenty of challenge and variety, and at times giving shades of classic American courses. It also looks gorgeous - love the textures used here, very picturesque. Had loads of fun, my scorecard was all over the place lol.. a couple of eagles, incl. my first ever from a flop (I think), a triple and quadruple bogey each, and literally everything in-between - it's definitely that 'type' of course. Brilliant stuff, more BB gold, cheers!

Great course Bobby. A tricky but very fair and playable course. Lots of variety with some risk and reward holes. Need to think your game strategy especially the approeach to the greens. Well done buddy.

The way we are playing here you might want to throw the clubs in the lake. If you throw the clubs in the lake, you might miss the lake.
No course in the works: retired. |
