After playing this course, I checked my body temperature and I did not get any fever, be it from the above picture or the mosquitoes that I did not see ! However, what I saw, instead, was a very nice and quite challenging course with plenty of water to deal with, rollercoaster and undulated fairways and well-placed bunkers, often in the narrowest parts of the fairways. The par-5 2nd hole, for example, is quite nice but also pretty tough, with four big ponds (or small lakes ?) bordering the twisted fairway, just like the right dogleg par-4 4th, with a small lake on the right side, bunkers in the middle of the slanted fairway and a tee shot to the elevated green. If the right dogleg par-4 5th hole, with a downhill tee shot next to the lake on the left side is nice, I prefer the downhill right dogleg par-5 6th, quite scenic with two bunkers awaiting your tee shot in the middle of the fairway, and water on both sides of the sloped green. Then, after playing the "cute", but "could-be" tricky, par-3 7th hole, with a lake between the tee box and the hilly and sloped green, you will reach the very picturesque par-4 9th, with its very undulated and rollercoaster fairway, its strategically-placed bunker in the narrowest part, with water on the right side, and a gorgeous hotel/complex with a big swimming pool on the hillside on the left. Coming back, you will have to be careful with the downhill, slightly-to-the-right par-4 10th hole, with a lake on the left side and bunkers, again near the narrowest part of the fairway, just like on the left dogleg par-4 12th hole, where you can reach the green, only 305 yards away, provided that you avoid the water on the left side and a bunker on the right. Of the last two par-5 holes, the downhill right dogleg 13th, with its twisted fairway and lake on the right side, with a few "well-placed" bunkers, as usual, and the 16th, I prefer the latter, very picturesque, with a meandering lake flowing from the left of the slanted fairway all the way across, not far from the front of the elevated green. Finally, the left dogleg par-4 18th hole will offer you big challenge with its heavily-sloped fairway in the middle, very close to the water on the left side... If this Jungle Fever course is not really in the jungle, it is well designed by Wild Turkey, and very enjoyable, and a definite keeper in my (jungle) book... with or without Tarzan and Jane !
