What a big shock after just finishing playing in... Detroit ! Needless to say, the scenery is simply superb : gorgeous sea views far away, beautiful hillside vegetation, villas, nice city skyline, fountains and roads.
Once again, MSR Golf surpassed himself but, this time, the course layout helped a lot as there are quite a few holes with "well-placed" bunkers and/or ponds near the greens, not to mention some slanted fairways to keep you on your toes.
But after contemplating the nice overview of the par-3 4th hole, you might lose your concentration upon hearing the sound of a... freight train, near the green of the pretty donwhill par-5 5th hole, with a fountain in the pond as a bonus ! Thankfully, after hearing it again near the green of the par-4 7th hole, the very scenic par-3 8th hole will remind you that you are in Hawaii !
On the back 9, the slightly downhill dogleg to the right par-4 10th hole and the cute par-3 12th, with its "hidden" pond in front of the tee box, are quite nice, just like the next two par-5 holes, with slanted faiways and blind second shots to, hopefully, reach the greens.
As for the par-4 18th hole, it is simply gorgeous with its gentle slope toward the creek running across the fairway.
Overall, another superb course from Hawaii, designed by MSR Golf, and a definite keeper, even if I can hear... the whistle blow !

Thanks for this nice course like the detail ..eg Tennis courts. Was feeling fed up so this cheered me up to play this one.

It looks marvelous, simply marvelous You boys know how really, really marvelous this design is. Just marvelous....lol It has that rich Corinthian look. Seriously, I love it. No glitches, played smooth and and sweet. Would you expect anything different from MSR...not likely my friends.
