Unlike Forest Pines Golf Resort no. 1, this course is a par 70 which is less scenic, even though it plays very smoothly and is well designed, as usual by TeeOffTowersey. As expected, being in the same location, you will end up playing a few holes from the previous version and, as a result, you might end up feeling a little bit like Bill Murray in his movie “Groundhog day”, with a feeling of “deja-vu” ! On the front 9, after the right dogleg par-4 2nd hole, three holes are the same : the left dogleg 6th, with a big pond halfway down the fairway, corresponds to the 15th on the no.1 course, but is now a par-4 (instead of a par-5). The par-3 7th hole, with a big bush blocking the view of the pond near the green, is the same as the 16th, and the par-5 8th hole, with its split fairway is the 17th on course no. 1. The back 9 has quite a few doglegs (11th, 12th and 15th holes) but is not as challenging as the front 9… With no creek and fewer ponds, this version, strangely released before course no. 3, is still nice to play but, between the two, my preference goes for the 1st one… !

Hey Towersey, thanks so much for getting back to me. I have tried turning the settings down and it is unfortunately still crashing. I will try playing with the settings more - but if it doesn't work out, I am sad not to get to play such a piece of art. Thanks! :)

imightbewrong: Forest Pines is a 27 hole course laid out on 1 plot. It is difficult to keep the point down below the ideal 120k - 180k limit. The fact that 27 holes have been drawn instead of the usual 18 makes this task extremely difficult without seriously over-optimising. These 3 courses had a point count of 225k which may (and I stress may) have put too much strain one your rig to render it. The only option I can think of is to reduce setting within the game.

The way we are playing here you might want to throw the clubs in the lake. If you throw the clubs in the lake, you might miss the lake.
No course in the works: retired. |

I can't seem to get this or the other forest pines course by Towersey to work - first whole loads and plays fine, and then something goes very wrong - the screen goes all distorted and the game is unplayable. Obviously an issue localized to me - any ideas?
