Once again, another great course form rlslay, even though it has less plantings (especially flowers) than usual. Set on top of a gorgeous valley, with the Devil’s tower as the main attraction, this par 72 ia delightful to watch and play.
It starts with a bang with a great panoramic view from the tee of the left dogleg par-4 1st hole, and an undulated and downhill fairway all the way to the green, and is followed by a right dogleg par-4 2nd hole, again downhill, with nice trees all along the fairway on the left side.
With the Devil’s tower facing the tee box, the downhill dogleg to the right par-5 5th hole is not only long (more than 610 yards) but also quite scenic with the lake to the right side, just like the par-4 6th where, even though the main attraction is no longer visible, a meandering creek running across the fairway midway, and near the green, and a lake further to the left, make this hole quite challenging.
The downhill par-5 7th hole is not as easy as it looks, as you will have to think twice before trying to reach the green on your approach shot, with a meandering creek running to the left and across, in front of the green.
If the downhill par-5 9th hole is straightforward, it is beautiful with two lakes on the left, midway through, and near the green, guarded by big bunkers on the right side.
More doglegs are on the back 9 (par-4 10th, 11th holes) with the dogleg par-4 12th hole, being the most scenic, with a big lake on the right side and plenty of bunkers around the green.
If you like bunkers, then you will love the downhill par-3 13th hole, with bunkers set in a... horsehoe shape around the green ! Other standout holes are the other two downhill par-3 : the 15th, with the green on the other side of the lake, and the 17th hole, quite scenic with its nice panoramic view as you approach the green.
You will finish your round in a spectacular way on the right dogleg par-4 18th hole, with the green on the other side of the lake, while admiring the gorgeous clubhouse behind...
Running like a charm, this course is another keeper in my book and all I can say to you, after you download it, is... good luck at the Horses Luck Golf Club !

Rob (Rislay) is the master of the picturesque golf courses.
Of course I recognized the pano of earlier played courses, like The Golf Club @ Devils Tower, Isandlwana and Eagles's view at Devils Tower ( with the Devil's Tower in the main role), but Rob always creates something with a special feeling for us (lucky us).
So: thank you again from a humble golf player who played all the Rislay courses.
