First hole, and I am already taking my camera instead of my golf clubs ! Once again, rlslay keeps amazing us with his gorgeous designs and this par 70 is another perfect example, as you will find out, just standing on the right dogleg par-4 opening hole, with a blind and uphill tee shot over some waste rough area (filled with dirt, high weeds and bushes), and a downhill approach to the green, with a big lake on the right, and a meandering river behind ! If the beautiful par-4 2nd hole is quite short (around 315 yards, with tournament tees), you can forget about reaching its green, as your tee shot will have to fly over a river running diagonally, and land onto an undulating fairway (slightly to the right), before you can aim your approach to the elevated green, slightly to the left, near the river. The left dogleg par-5 5th hole is also quite pretty with its fairway hugging a big river on the left (with two elongated waste rough areas a little bit apart near its edges) and its very narrow fairway as your get close to the slightly-downhill green. If you can see the flag far away on the slightly-uphill par-4 7th hole, you won’t be able to reach its green, with its winding tree-lined fairway in the way, unlike on the par-3 8th, quite picturesque with a tee shot over the river (and an elongated bunker near its edge, halfway). As for the right dogleg par-4 9th, it is another gorgeous hole, with its fairway hugging the river on the right and an elongated waste rough area almost all along on its edge (with a small bunker closer to the green). The back 9 is even more spectacular and quite challenging, starting with the nice left dogleg par-4 10th hole, with a slightly-uphill tee shot and a slightly-downhill approach to the green (with a big elongated lake on the left and a pretty panoramic view of the wetlands behind), and continuing with the left dogleg par-4 12th (similar to the 5th hole, but with a narrower and undulating fairway, hugging the river on the left, and an elongated waste area almost all along on its edge), and a green with two bunkers on the left and an elongated one behind, next to the river, branching out. Then, after the pretty par-3 13th hole, with a little bridge on the left of the tee box and trees all along (on the left) and the river running past the green (on the right), you will move on to the scenic right dogleg par-4 14th, one of my favorite holes, with a tee shot over an elongated waste rough area (on the right, with a lone tall tree in the middle), landing near another elongated waste area, a little bit further along the river (on the left), and over which you will have to hit your blind approach to reach the green ! And wait until you see the left dogleg par-4 15th hole : simply superb ! It is downhill all the way, with a wide marshland on the left and a magnificent panoramic view of the bay and its boats, far away, anchored at low tide, way beyond the green... The scenery then changes on the left dogleg par-5 16th hole, more inland and slightly-uphill all the way, along a nice tree-lined fairway, with a green, hard to reach on your second shot, with a big waste area on the left, not far from it, and a few bunkers around it. And you will finish with two more postcard holes : on the par-3 17th, you will need to hit your blind and downhill tee shot over some marshland to reach the green, surrounded, halfway, by more... marshland, in order to gaze, once again, at the gorgeous wide open bay behind, whereas, on the right dogleg par-4 18th hole, you will have to be careful with your tee shot as the fairway is quite narrow, halfway, near the waste rough area (next to the river on the right), before you can hit your approach toward the slightly-elevated green, with a nice clubhouse, on the left. With a gorgeous panorama, designed by Jimbo63, superb plantings, immaculate fairways and greens, nice benches near the tee boxes and greens... to admire the beautiful scenery !), rlslay, once again, created a masterpiece that you should hurry to download !

So who got you upset to have to make this difficult, but totally AWESOME course ??? !!!! Squirrel !!!!,,,,, the only thing missing is the alligators !!! Great water placement.. A lot of tight fairways, and oh, don't forget the peanuts to feed the squirrels when you end up in the woods like I did many many times !!!

Rob, another gem from a master designer. The attention to every small detail is what makes a good course outstanding. Fun to play with shot position essential. It is impossible to differentiate between what is course and what is pano, an extremely difficult achievement. 6* in my book.

The way we are playing here you might want to throw the clubs in the lake. If you throw the clubs in the lake, you might miss the lake.
No course in the works: retired. |

Another first class design Rob, I always enjoy playing your courses. As usual for your courses it was beautifully planted and I especially liked the wetlands around the edge of the plot.

Beautiful design Rob. IMHO its just a brush stroke or two short of a Masterpiece. This course is 7600 yards of nasty, nasty difficulty. On Expert/breezy I hit only 7 fairways. The rough was extremely ROUGH, and the fairways very narrow on most holes. Putting under dry green conditions I consider a +4 over a very respectable round, for me that is. I loved the layout, scenery et.al. This one goes on my list of favorites for a rislay. design..

Very nice course. Plays like a real course not a fantasy course. Well designed. It also has a river going through part of the course. Thank you rlslay for taking the time and effort to make this course !!
