If this par 71 is shorter and "easier" than the No.1 course, it is gorgeous too, with plenty of elevation changes, spectacular views, and a back 9 near the ocean, unlike its counterpart where the fairways were hugging the coastline, mainly on the front 9.
After a right dogleg opening par-4 hole, where you can cut the corner above the trees with your steeply-downhill tee shot in order to shorten the distance of your approach to the elevated green, I like the slightly-uphill par-3 3rd, with a small green, surrounded by trees, and the very pretty “down-and-up” par-4 4th hole, with a very narrow tree-lined fairway.
On the short (less than 300 yards) and risky left dogleg par-4 5th hole, where the steeply-downhill green is hidden by tall trees, you will have a tough decision to make as you get ready to tee off, before moving on to the very scenic downhill par-3 6th, with a narrow gap between trees to reach its small green.
You will get your first glimpse of the ocean (on the far left) on the par-5 7th hole, as you hit your tee shot downward onto the narrow and undulating fairway and your uphill approach to the green, before facing the cute par-3 8th, with its green set along the edge of a small lake, and the left dogleg par-4 9th hole, with an uphill tee shot and a tough approach to the green, with a big pond in front.
Unlike on the course no.1, the scenery switches back near the ocean with the pretty par-3 10th hole whose downhill green is on top of a cliff, and the pretty right dogleg par-4 11th, with its slanted fairway, hugging the sea on the left.
Then, after the par-4 12th hole, uphill all the way, with a tee shot over the cliff landing onto a wide fairway (with the ocean on the left) and a beautiful panoramic approach as you reach its elevated green, you will move on to the scenic left dogleg par-4 13th, with two shots along the coastline.
The short left dogleg par-5 14th is simply gorgeous and one of my favorite holes, with its very sharp bend to the left above the cliffs, requiring a tough tee shot over them to reach the fairway, and a challenging approach toward the wide green, with a beautiful lone house overlooking the ocean behind !
Finally, after the uphill right dogleg par-4 15th hole and its... two parallel fairways (stay on the left side), and the long and uphill par-3 16th, with its slanted fairway, you will have one last chance for an eagle opportunity on the steeply-uphill par-5 17th hole (not too far from the ocean below on the right), with a long approach flying over a small creek, across, flowing down to the sea, before heading for the left dogleg par-4 18th, with a last uphill tee shot landing... downward onto a wide fairway and a nice approach to the green, with the clubhouse on the left.
With this course No.2, PCDurum came up with another very scenic layout and while it is not as challenging as the No.1, it is definitely one of his best and, believe me, I am not... bluffing !
