Updated from Homeboy's course, released in 2008, this version is quite similar with one major difference and so minor ones.
The major one is the par, which is now 72 (instead of 70), with the 6th and 10th holes being par-5s (instead of par-4s). As for the minor changes, they mainly concern trees, which are less present on some holes and more on others, and the color of the high rough (yellowish compared to dark green before...).
Changes aside, this course is gorgeous, especially with the magnificent panorama which includes the Statue of Liberty (visible on quite a few holes), the Empire State Building, the Manhattan skyline and the Verrazano Narrows bridge.
On the front 9, I like the dogleg par-4 1st hole, with its creek running along the fairway on the right side, the scenic par-3 2nd hole, with the view of the Statue of Liberty and the dogleg to the left par-4 5th, with the lake hugging the fairway to the left. But my favorite holes are the two par-5 6th, with its 180-degree view of the waterfront and the Hudson river, and the 8th, with the view of the skyline nd the Verrazano Narrows bridge.
On the back 9, the dogleg to the right par-5 10th hole is pretty with its approach shot facing the back of the Statue of Liberty, but the other par-5 13th hole is even prettier, with a wider view (similar to the 6th hole) of the harbor and a small lake on the left side of the green.
As for the par-4 17th hole, maybe my favorite, it combines the views of the 6th and 13th holes, with high rough on the left side and a small lake on the right.
Needless to say, this course is a masterpiece which now reflects the changes since 2008, but that does not take away Homeboy's talent who was the first to come up with this gem of a course...
