Even without a spectacular panorama (by rlslay’s standards), this par 72 is another beauty, albeit not too difficult, with wide and undulated fairways, slight elevation changes, beautiful vegetation as usual, and quite a few water hazards to watch for. My favorite holes on the front 9 are the scenic and slightly-downhill par-3 3rd, with a tee shot over a lake all the way across in front of the green, the similar par-3 4th hole (but with a wider and slightly-elevated green), the right dogleg par-5 5th, with its long approach to the green, surrounded by wide bunkers and, to a lesser extent, the downhill left dogleg par-4 6th hole, coming back the other way. On the back 9, I like the par-3 11th hole, with a big elongated bunker on the left side of the green and a big lake on the right, the left dogleg par-5 13th, quite long (more than 630 yards) with its undulated fairway, and the other long (more than 600 yards) right dogleg par-5 16th, with a blind and risky second shot over the lake, not too far from the slightly-elevated green. The straight par-4 17th hole is also a little tricky, with three bunkers on both sides of the undulated fairway, midway, and a blind approach to the green over a small lake. With its wide and nice open views, challenging par-5 holes and water hazards, this PGA Western Open 2016 is another very enjoyable course, designed by rlslay and a definite keeper... as usual !

Your hard work is very much appreciated. This is a very, very good course - if a bit lengthy!

Thanks Rob. I liked your last course a bit more as the greens here are more forgiving, but having the variety is great. Your courses always play well on very dry! Great work!
